On June 1st, 2024, King Mongkut's University of Technology Thonburi (KMUTT) School of Liberal Arts welcomed a prestigious delegation from Van Lang University, Vietnam. The party of visitors consisted of Associate Professor Dr. Pham Vu Phi Ho, Dr. Nguyen Hai Long, and twelve master's students from the Faculty of Foreign Languages.
The purpose of the visit was to provide Van Lang University’s Master of Arts in English Language Studies students with the opportunity to share their research projects with international peers, learn from their research, and receive valuable feedback. This initiative aims to enhance the quality of their research and thesis through international collaboration and academic exchange.
The event was organized by the Department of Language Studies at KMUTT, with representation from Asst. Prof. Dr. Saowaluck Tepsuriwong, Asst. Prof. Dr. Natjiree Jaturapitakkul, Asst. Prof. Thanis Tangkitjaroenkun, Dr. Punyapa Saengsri, and Dr. Ali Zahabi.
The event started with a morning sharing session, during which students from Van Lang University's Master of Arts in English Language Studies program and KMUTT's Master of Arts in Applied English Studies (AES) program delivered presentations on their research. Subsequently, there was a dynamic interchange of comments and debates among professors and students from both institutions.
The program, which started at 9 AM and concluded at 3 PM, further included a visit to the KMUTT Library and the Resource Center at the School of Liberal Arts for the master's students in the afternoon. Concurrently, lecturers from both institutions engaged in discussions on potential future collaborations.
The tour culminated with a productive and enlightening hour of interaction, offering a wonderful chance for students from both institutions to engage and gain knowledge from one another.
The visit concluded with an insightful exchange hour, providing a valuable opportunity for students from both universities to interact, learn from each other, and receive constructive feedback on their research endeavors. This collaboration marks a significant step in fostering international academic relationships and enhancing the research quality of Van Lang University’s graduate students.
